Facts about T54E2 type tracks.
T54E2 tracks were used on U.S. medium tanks with VVSS (Vertical Volute Spring Suspension) during World War II, particularly M4 Sherman variants. The design was similar to T54E1 but with slightly wider steel pads and improved link design. They were more durable than T51/T48 tracks, conserved rubber while providing better traction in mud and rough terrain, designed to handle heavier Shermans and late-war combat conditions.
