Facts about WE210 type tracks.

The designation WE210 isn’t a U.S. military “T‑number” like T41, T48, etc. Instead WE210 refers to a specific track pattern seen on some Allied World War II tanks with VVSS (Vertical Volute Spring Suspension) — especially British, Commonwealth and early North Africa‑theatre vehicles.

WE210 tracks are a “double‑I” rubber pad pattern (distinct from U.S. T‑designated tracks) used on VVSS vehicles. Photographic evidence shows WE210 mostly in North Africa and early Italian campaigns, usually on British/Commonwealth‑operated Shermans or on Grants.

Tanks that used WE210 tracks
  • M3 Medium tanks (Lee / Grant) — especially in North Africa; WE210 was likely standard on many Grants early in the campaign.
  • M4 Sherman medium tanks (VVSS) in British and Commonwealth service — seen on British Sherman IIIs and other units in North Africa and Italy.
  • Ram tanks (Canadian design during WW II) — fitted with WE210 tracks in early production.
